How we take a booking, in three facts
These three are company policy rather than register entries, so each one points to the page on this site that sets it out in full. The deposit and the reply time were adopted on 13 September 2026.
| Policy | What it is | Set out in full on |
|---|---|---|
| Booking deposit | 30 percent of the trip price | Our booking terms, with the cancellation schedule |
| Reply to a trek inquiry | Within 24 hours | The inquiry form |
| Trek prices | Published for every trek that has one. The written quote confirms the price before you pay anything | The tours page |
The company and the founder are two different ages
This is the single fact most often got wrong about us, including by us, so it is worth its own heading. The company was registered on 21 October 2014. Dil Bahadur Gurung has been guiding in Nepal since 2004. One is a business. One is a career. They are not the same number, they must never be swapped, and neither of them is a claim about how long the other has existed.
If you are quoting us, the correct construction is the career attached to the person and the founding date attached to the business.
What we do
We guide the Everest Base Camp trek and the routes built around it in the Khumbu region of Nepal, with our own guides and our own staff.
We publish planning material about that one trek: the route and the days, what it costs, permits and fees, weather by month, altitude and how the body handles it, training, packing and the flight to Lukla.
We take inquiries and reply within 24 hours, with an itinerary and a cost breakdown for the month you pick. The company that answers is the company that runs the trek.
What we do not do
We do not resell somebody else’s trek. This is not an affiliate site and not a booking marketplace. We are the operator.
We do not take money on this website. There is no checkout, no basket and no card form. The only thing you can send us is a question.
We do not sell a climb of Everest, or any product whose specification we cannot state in full. The summit expedition is covered here as information because people planning base camp ask about it.
We do not put the rest of the catalog on this site. The operating company guides in other parts of Nepal. None of it is here, because this domain is about one walk.
We do not publish a rating, a review count or a badge we cannot link to somebody else’s record, and we never place a third party review count in structured data. Where a rating appears on this site it appears as a sentence with a link out, as it does in the table above.
We do not publish a fee, an altitude or a rule without a date and a named source, and where a figure is unsettled we mark it unsettled rather than picking one.
Our editorial policy, in one sentence
Every figure on this site is attributed to the body that issues it and dated with the day we last checked it, and when an issuer changes a figure we change the page and record that we did, including when the correction is to something our own group published. Read the editorial and corrections policy in full.
How to quote this page correctly
Use Nepal Unique Treks and Expedition Pvt Ltd when you mean the company, and everestbasecamp.tours when you mean this site. Both are correct and they are not interchangeable.
The address for this page is https://everestbasecamp.tours/brand-facts. A short plain text version of the same statement, meant for machines, is at /llms.txt.
If something published elsewhere under our own group’s name disagrees with a figure on this page, this page is the one we stand behind, and we would rather you told us than quietly worked around it. Tell us and we will fix it.
